From a young age, we both knew we wanted to get into building… it was the hands-on work, the problem solving, the creativity and the precision needed, that made it appealing.
When driving through our hometown, where our careers first started over 20 years ago, we often think about our beginnings; the community buildings we helped create and the homes we helped build.
Fast forward, and we’re still doing what we love today in the Bay of Plenty (since 2008). Building and working with people. Seeing the outcome at the end of a project and the happiness it brings to the homeowner. That never gets old.
When we started building, we learnt the tricks of the trade as well as the do’s and don'ts when working with customers. Old school values and old-fashioned customer service, that’s us!
Now, more than 20 years of building later, we still live and work this way.
Our word is our word, after all the business carries our name!
We were brought up to be honest and true, and owning a business isn’t going to change that. When we say something, we mean it, otherwise it’s just a waste of words.
If we say we’ll be there in the morning, we will!
And on the off chance something crops up that stops this happening, you’ll be the first to know about it. Call us different, but we actually like work, so we’ll turn up, no doubt about it.

Words are important but we’re all about the actions too. We know it’s not just what we say, but what we do and how we do it, that counts.
Let’s just say, the art of a conversation is in our genes!

We happen to like people. We enjoy getting to know you through the build and have lasting relationships with our customers. And when it comes to our team and those that work with us – we’re choosy. Our team needs to fit the DC mould, and our subbies are handpicked. We need to personally know who’s working on our jobs.
The crew at Daly Construction are definitely not shy of hard work.
We’re efficient, we work well together and make the most of each workday.
We also make the most of life outside work too – family, friends and our shared love of the outdoors keeps us grounded (as well as fit, for our physical jobs!) 😊
